Josef Albers

The first living solo artist to be given a show at New York's Museum of Modern Art, Josef Albers was a German textile artist and educator, dabbling in photography, typography, murals, and printmaking. Along with his wife Anni, the duo blurred the lines between traditional art and craft, creating works that were as current then as they are now, bought to you today in the form of statement rugs by Christopher Farr.
